PERA 3rd PIANO FESTIVAL

The Aim of the Festival     : As Pera Fine Arts High School, we congregated many art-lover young people that come from the different cities of our country who are interested in music in the 1st and 2nd Pera Piano Festival. The first Piano Festival was performed in May 2006 and the second in May 2007. We want to perform the 3rd of the Piano Festival which we traditionally organize with Workshops, Seminars and competitions. For this reason, by getting the young people together in the music platform with “Pera 3rd Piano Festival, we aim to:

- Congregate the future contemporary artist nominees who are tied to Atatürk's Principles and Revolutions.
- Young people's interaction with each other
- Bring in fraternity, friendship, love of art and suchlike positive emotions and behaviors through the universality of music,
- Young people's sharing the artistic experiences with their coevals.
- Increase young people's love and interest towards the classical music.
- Consolidate the skills of their ability to express themselves with the piano which is a polyphonic instrument.
- Give young people a chance to recognize the different piano techniques
- Let the young people represent themselves and , as occasion may require, our country in national and international music platforms.

1. Festival categories will be between the ages of 13-17 and 18-21
2. The applications will be between 04 February – 21 March 2008.
3. The ones who want to attend, should post the documents below or deliver by hand to the festival committee.
